Project Overview
The Context
GEEZ is an independent footwear care brand redefining the shoe hygiene market. Moving away from purely functional odor-removers, GEEZ positions itself as a premium lifestyle essential for the modern urbanite. The challenge was to craft a unified brand identity that bridges high-energy street culture with clinical, laboratory-level precision.

Strategic and Differentiation
Dual-Specialty Approach
Tailored care for specific materials. MOVENS is formulated for canvas and mesh (sneakers), while FORTIS is designed for full-grain and synthetic leather. This ensures maximum efficacy without altering shoe textures.
EDP-Style Layered Notes
Unlike standard sprays that fade quickly, GEEZ utilizes a top, middle, and base note structure akin to fine body perfumes. The result is a refined, mature scent that provides long-lasting freshness.
The Urban Persona
Designed as an 'Everyday Carry' (EDC) for high-mobility individuals. Available in a multi-size system (including a Ready-to-Go mini variant), it caters seamlessly to the office, gym, and travel routines.
Visual Concept and Art Direction
The Aesthetic Balance
To establish immediate trust in an emerging market category, the visual identity combines the structured, clean cues of modern perfumery with dynamic urban elements. This positions GEEZ as a daily lifestyle essential, avoiding the generic 'industrial cleaner' look.
Color & Typography Strategy
A deliberate mix of fresh aqua tones representing 'clean comfort' and deep, dark colors that anchor the brand with maturity. Paired with a geometric sans-serif typeface and modular, white-space-heavy layouts, the design feels both premium and highly approachable.
Structured Layout & Negative Space
Rather than relying on heavy graphics or icons, the design system utilizes modular, grid-based layouts and intentional white space. This minimalist, typography-led approach prevents visual clutter, ensuring product information is highly scannable while maintaining a bold, premium presence.
Visual Identity

Reflection
Bridging the Gap: Street vs. Science
The biggest challenge in this project was finding the "sweet spot" between two opposing worlds: the raw, energetic vibe of Streetwear Culture and the sterile, precise aesthetic of a Clinical Laboratory. I learned that "Premium" doesn't always mean "Minimalist Gold". In GEEZ, premium means Precision. By combining gritty textures (film grain) with mathematical grids, I managed to create a unique "Urban-Lab" identity that stands out from generic shoe cleaners.
Copywriting is Part of Design
This project reinforced that visual identity cannot survive without a strong voice. Correcting "Parfume" to "Perfume", or defining terms like "Daily Driver" and "Standard Issue", was just as important as designing the logo. These words transformed the product from a simple commodity into a lifestyle essential. I learned that a brand designer must also act as a brand editor.
The Power of "Systematic Branding"
Instead of just making one cool logo, I developed a dual-system: MOVENS (Casual/Gray) vs FORTIS (Formal/Gold). This taught me how to build a scalable visual architecture. A good brand identity isn't just about how it looks on one poster, but how it differentiates products on a shelf while keeping them under the same family.
NEXT STEPS
Physical Brand Activation (The "Lab" Pop-Up)
Since the digital identity is strong, the next logical step is to bring the "Laboratory" concept to life.
Plan : Design a Pop-Up Store concept that looks like a sterile lab (stainless steel furniture, vacuum-sealed packaging) at sneaker events or urban festivals. This will validate the "Clinical" experience in the real world.
Product Line Expansion
The "Movens & Fortis" system is ready to scale.
Plan : The goal is to test if the current grid system and typography hierarchy remain flexible enough for different packaging shapes (tubes or boxes).
Digital Experience & Motion
Static visuals have set the mood, but "Motion" is in the brand's name (Movens).
Plan : Develop motion graphics for social media visualizing the "scent notes" floating or the "micro-mist" spray technology in slow motion. This will add a sensory layer to the digital experience that static images cannot convey.
